Ropes & Gray snags Goodwin partner

Law firm Ropes & Gray LLP has hired John K. Felter as a litigation partner from crosstown law firm Goodwin Procter LLP, the firm said this week.
Felter, who will be based in the Boston office of Ropes & Gray, is a trial attorney with a national practice concentrating on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation.
Felter is the second partner to join Ropes & Gray from a crosstown firm in recent months. Joan Lukey, who is also part of the firm’s litigation group, joined from Boston-based WilmerHale earlier this year.
